The AbioCor System

The AbioCor® Replacement Heart is a mechanical device that replaces the pumping function of your diseased heart. The AbioCor, along with other components is surgically implanted; it is designed to fit within your chest and abdomen.

The AbioCor System consists of the following implanted components:

• Replacement Heart
• Implanted TET
• Implanted Controller
• Implanted Battery
• Implanted Cable

In addition to the implanted components, the AbioCor System has external components that provide power to the AbioCor System.
